through the playoffs, capping it off with a 4-1 win over Lindenwood
for the CSCHL Crown.

16, 2008 - The second day of playoff action
is now over and the championship participants have
been decided. #2 Lindenwood advanced after their thrilling
4-3 overtime win over #3 Ohio, while the #1 Illini's
4-1 win over #5 Kent State gave them the nod for the

16, 2008 - The Illini's Jordan Pringle netted half of the Illini's goals as they powered past Kent State 4-1 in the second semi-final game of the day. The Illini will now face Lindenwood for the title.

the first overtime of the playoffs. With just under 6 minutes
left in overtime Larry Kopecky scores the game winning

16, 2008 - In the highest scoring game of the weekend thus far,
the #8 Eagles of Robert Morris upset the #7 Western Michigan Stallions
by a score of 9-5 to take 7th place in the playoffs.

blow away Eagles for 5th |

16, 2008 - The Cyclones of Iowa State walk out of the CSCHL playoffs
with 5th place as the blow out the Eastern Michigan Eagles 9-2. The
Cyclones Mike Murtaugh grabbed a natural hat trick in the third period
in the win.

in the books with only one upset occurring on the day, and
that was in the first game as #5 Kent State knocked off #4
Iowa State. The Golden Flashes jumped out in front early, scoring

back from and early deficit to take the second game of the
CSCHL playoffs with a score of 3-1.

15, 2008 - The first game of the playoffs ends in an upset as
#5 seed Kent State pull off a 4-3 win over #4 Iowa State. The Flashes
goaltender turned away 53 of the Cyclones 56 shots to help seal the
win.

the stage is set for the 2008 Central States Collegiate Hockey
League playoffs. The University of Illinios had a perfect 18-0-0
run to take the #1 spot with all 72 points and were named the
