February 17, 2008 - The last two games of the weekend would be played out on Sunday as the early game would feature Ohio and Kent State looking for 3rd place, while the afternoon game had Illinois and Lindenwood clawing it out for the championship cup. ( More ) ACHA

February 17, 2008 - The number one seed Illini had a perfect run through the playoffs, capping it off with a 4-1 win over Lindenwood for the CSCHL Crown.

February 17, 2008 - Ohio's Billy Hemann nets a hat trick as the Bobcat's take a 3rd place finish, defeating Kent State 5-1.

                     Day two of CSCHL playoffs complete
February 16, 2008 - The second day of playoff action is now over and the championship participants have been decided. #2 Lindenwood advanced after their thrilling 4-3 overtime win over #3 Ohio, while the #1 Illini's 4-1 win over #5 Kent State gave them the nod for the big game. ( More ) ACHA

February 16, 2008 - The Illini's Jordan Pringle netted half of the Illini's goals as they powered past Kent State 4-1 in the second semi-final game of the day. The Illini will now face Lindenwood for the title.

                     First OT of the playoffs
February 16, 2008 - Lindenwood nets 3 3rd period goals to force the first overtime of the playoffs. With just under 6 minutes left in overtime Larry Kopecky scores the game winning short handed goal.

                     Robert Morris upsets Stallions
February 16, 2008 - In the highest scoring game of the weekend thus far, the #8 Eagles of Robert Morris upset the #7 Western Michigan Stallions by a score of 9-5 to take 7th place in the playoffs.

                     Cyclones blow away Eagles for 5th
February 16, 2008 - The Cyclones of Iowa State walk out of the CSCHL playoffs with 5th place as the blow out the Eastern Michigan Eagles 9-2. The Cyclones Mike Murtaugh grabbed a natural hat trick in the third period in the win.

                     Day one of Playoffs complete
February 16, 2008 - The first round of the CSCHL playoffs is in the books with only one upset occurring on the day, and that was in the first game as #5 Kent State knocked off #4 Iowa State. The Golden Flashes jumped out in front early, scoring twice within a two minute span early in the first period. ( More ) ACHA

February 15, 2008 - The number one Illini took advantage of Robert Morris' penalty problems to take the last game of round one, shutting out the Eagles 10-0.

                     Lions hold off Stallions charge
February 15, 2008 - Lindenwood ran up a 5-1 lead and were able to hold off a 3 goal rally by Western Michigan in the third period to move onto the semi-finals.

February 15, 2008 - The Ohio University Bobcats clawed their way back from and early deficit to take the second game of the CSCHL playoffs with a score of 3-1.

                     Game one ends with an upset
February 15, 2008 - The first game of the playoffs ends in an upset as #5 seed Kent State pull off a 4-3 win over #4 Iowa State. The Flashes goaltender turned away 53 of the Cyclones 56 shots to help seal the win.

February 10, 2008 - With the final regular season games now history, the stage is set for the 2008 Central States Collegiate Hockey League playoffs. The University of Illinios had a perfect 18-0-0 run to take the #1 spot with all 72 points and were named the CSCHL regular season champions. ( More ) ACHA

January 20, 2008 - As the time draws closer to the CSCHL playoffs, the participating teams are starting to fall into place. With only 26 days remaining 7 teams have clinched a playoff spot with only the final slot left open, which is being battled for between Robert Morris College and Saint Louis University. ( More ) ACHA
