February 10, 2008 - With the final regular season games now history, the stage is set for the 2008 Central States Collegiate Hockey League playoffs. The University of Illinios had a perfect 18-0-0 run to take the #1 spot with all 72 points and were named the CSCHL regular season champions. Lindenwood University, losing only to Illinois, comes in as the #2 seed with 64 points. The regular season champs for the last four years, Ohio University, is next in third place with 44 points. The demise of Saint Louis was a gift for Iowa State, handing them 8 points and moving them into 4th place with 40 points. Losses by Kent State and Eastern Michigan kept them from gaining any ground and will come into next weekends playoffs as the #5 and #6 seeds respectively. Rounding out the eight teams are #7 Western Michigan with 36 points and #8 Robert Morris College with 18 points. The games will kick off at 10:00am on Friday, February 15th with the following game schedule:
